FAQs
How is the TriShield installed?
An Ultima service engineer installs it — typically under an hour, on the counter or under the sink. The dual stainless outlet reaches both positions, and the engineer walks you through the panel before leaving.
How often do the filters need replacing?
The PP leads the schedule at roughly 6–12 months depending on your line, the CTO and UF follow, and the RO membrane runs years — the UF stage exists partly to protect it. Every cartridge sits on a universal 10-inch open standard, so replacements never lock you to one brand.
What does the Dual Water Output actually give me?
Two grades from one unit: UF-filtered water for washing vegetables and cooking, and full RO + UV-C water for drinking — so the membrane's capacity is spent only on the water you drink.
Does it work during power cuts?
The four-gallon food-grade tank holds an air-sealed reserve, so stored water keeps flowing when the power is out; purification resumes when it returns.
What does the warranty cover?
Five years on the booster pump and adapter, backed by Ultima's nationwide service network. Filters are consumables and follow their own replacement schedule.
