How hot and how cold does it actually get?
Hot water is held at 95°C or above and pours at four litres an hour — enough for tea, coffee and instant noodles back to back. Cold runs at 10°C or below, two litres an hour, from a sealed R134a compressor circuit rather than an ice tray.
Is the hot tap safe around children?
The hot outlet is a two-step tap: the safety catch has to be held before it will pour, so a knock or a curious hand does not release boiling water.
How is it installed?
An Ultima service engineer plumbs it into the supply line and walks you through the taps and the filter housings before leaving. It is a floor-standing cabinet — H 41.77 × W 14.76 × L 12.20 inches — so it needs a wall position, not a counter.
How often do the filters need replacing?
The FSA, PP and C1 pre-stages lead the schedule at roughly 6–12 months depending on your line; the RO membrane and the C2++ finish run longer. Every cartridge is open standard, so replacements never lock you to one brand.
What does the warranty cover?
Five years on the booster pump and adapter and two years on the other non-consumable parts, backed by Ultima's nationwide service network. Filters, membranes and consumable kits are excluded — they follow their own replacement schedule.
